About Me

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and lived in a suburb called Independence.  It was a nice small town about 10 minutes from Downtown Cleveland by the B.R.T. (Brecksville Road Transit).  We lived in three houses over the years I was growing up.  "The Barn" was a converted farm house barn that had huge rooms and a killer porch that overlooked a stream.  Then we moved to Evergreen Drive, and eventually to Buskirk Blvd.  I graduated from Independence High School in 1972 and went to The Defiance College for 2 years.  D.C. was basically a liberal arts "teachers school" but it allowed me to get the core courses under my belt, and learned the "wonders" of college life.  I also got my first taste of the radio business by working at the college station WDCW.  While at D.C., my Mom passed away from cancer...she smoked...a lot!  I miss her.  In my Junior year I transferred to Kent State University where I really got hooked on radio, and eventually ran the WKSU AM & FM News Department while freelancing at the local commercial radio station WKNT AM & FM, now WNIR.  Once I graduated from K.S.U., I got a full time gig as Afternoon Announcer and bottle washer.  I stayed at WKNT for almost 10 years.  The station changed format and I was let go...ended up working at a Canton TV station for a while, which actually was very cool.  Then I moved to North Carolina, and been here ever since.  So that's my life in a nutshell...up to now.  Who knows what the future holds.  Check my BLOG for the day-to-day excitement <insert sarcasm here> of my life.

• MUSIC: Contemporary Jazz, New & Classic Rock, Techno, Classical...pretty bizarre mix, huh?
• COLOR: Royal Blue...since I'm red/green color blind (thanks Mom) its my favorite.
• FOOD: Italian...Mary Kitchen's Roast Beef Hash.
• FAST FOOD: Wendy's Chili or Taco Bell Taco Supreme.
• SANDWICH: Mr. Hero Mini-Romanburger.
• JUNK FOOD: Ruffles w/ French Onion Dip and Brown Sugar Pop-Tarts (untoasted).
• DESERT: NY Cheesecake, Hot Fudge Sundae, or Frosty.
• ICE CREAM: Ben & Jerry's Rainforest Chunk which I hear they no longer make :-(
• TV: 24, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Oz, The Real World, That 70's Show, West Wing, Sex In The City, QAF

• VACATION: My favorite getaway spot is South Beach, Florida...its a party 24/7!

• HOLIDAY: Christmas...the neighbors hate me...too many lights and crap...LOL
